REV. PHIL BEUKEMA

Pastor Beukema is a 1994 graduate of Northern Michigan University and a 2016 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN. He served as a convertible Vicar at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, Minocqua, WI, from 2015-2016. In June 2016, Pastor Beukema was ordained and installed as Pastor at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church.

Pastor has a passion for outreach to the community and has served in various roles. While in Minocqua, WI, he served as an Oneida County Sheriff’s Chaplain, was an active Lions Club member, and continues serving through monthly devotional services at local assisted living facilities. Other passions involve spending time with his wife on the golf course, fishing year-round, and seeing the grandchildren.

He and his wife, Brandi, share a heart for the Lord and bring that experience to the community. They led a group to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in northern Kentucky in 2018. The following year, in January 2019, they hosted a group trip to the Holy Land. Twenty-five people joined them on their journey to Israel as they opened the Holy Scriptures and saw the beauty of God’s creation. They planned a return trip in 2021, but the trip was postponed later due to travel restrictions.

Pastor Beukema and Brandi look forward to serving all the people of our wonderful community and within the church. Please join Sunday as the Lord serves us and brings much-needed rest through His Word and Holy Sacraments.
